Andreas Karabis
Honorary Senior Research Associate
Andreas is a Senior Principal, working for IQVIA, where he’s leading the regional Real-World Solutions Delivery Hub for Europe. His team is focused on delivery of real-world database studies, health economic models, literature reviews, (network) meta-analysis, and HTA submissions for the European market. His main research interests include network meta-analysis and economic modeling.
Back in the early ’90s, he studied Mathematics and then Mechanical Engineering, at the University of Patras in Greece and continued his studies with a PhD in Numerical Analysis, which he completed in 2000. After the end of his studies, he worked on numerous research projects in engineering (maintenance optimization), banking (anti money laundering, portfolio optimization), and medical software (treatment planning optimization for radiotherapy). In 2010 he accepted an offer to work for Mapi (a late phase CRO, now part of ICON) first as an HEOR statistician, and later as a team leader responsible for their Health Economics and Evidence Synthesis services. In 2017, he joined IQVIA as Principal in Health Economics.
